Pharmacy Assistant - Sonning Common, Berkshire, UK

Job Summary

We are currently seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Assistant to join our team in Sonning Common, Berkshire. As a vital member of our pharmacy staff, you will play a key role in supporting our customers and ensuring the smooth operation of our pharmacy.

Responsibilities:

• Assist pharmacists in dispensing medications accurately and efficiently
• Provide excellent customer service, including answering queries and offering healthcare advice
• Maintain pharmacy inventory by checking pharmaceutical stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed medications and supplies, placing and expediting orders, verifying receipt, and removing outdated drugs
• Help to keep the pharmacy clean and organized
• Process prescriptions and insurance claims
• Adhere to all pharmacy regulations and safety standards

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a pharmacy or healthcare setting is preferred
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Pharmacy Assistant certification is a plus or pharmacy Medicine Counter experience

Hours: 

 

Hours required are:

Tuesday & Friday 9am-6pm with 60 minutes unpaid lunch break

every other Saturday 9am - 1pm

A total of 18 hours average per week
