Our amazing team in Whitechapel is looking for a friendly, enthusiastic and reliable Pharmacy Assistant to join our busy community pharmacy team.

We are seeking someone who enjoys helping people, thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to delivering excellent customer service and patient care. Whether you already have pharmacy experience or come from a strong customer service background, we would love to hear from you.

Working Hours

Tuesday to Friday: 9:00am – 6:30pm (including a 1-hour unpaid lunch break)

Saturday: 9:00am – 5:30pm (including a 1-hour unpaid lunch break)

Total contracted hours: 40 hours per week

As a Pharmacy Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting the pharmacy team and ensuring patients receive a professional, efficient and friendly service.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Serving patients and customers at the pharmacy counter
  • Assisting with the dispensing process
  • Handling prescription collections and patient queries
  • Answering telephone enquiries professionally
  • Supporting NHS and private pharmacy services
  • Managing stock, ordering and deliveries
  • Using pharmacy computer systems and NHS platforms
  • Maintaining a clean, organised and professional working environment
  • Ensuring patient confidentiality is maintained at all times
  • Working closely with pharmacists and colleagues to provide excellent patient care

About You

Essential

  • Previous customer service experience
  • Good IT and keyboard skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently

Desirable

  • Previous pharmacy experience
  • Medicines Counter Assistant (MCA) qualification
  • Experience using pharmacy systems such as ProScript, Titan, RxWeb or Pharmacy Manager
  • Knowledge of NHS services such as Pharmacy First, NMS and Blood Pressure Checks

Full training will be provided for the right candidate.
